A Lifetime of Service: Now, I'm Running to Serve You in the State Assembly

My fellow citizens of Legislative District 18,

My name is David Tingle and for over 28 years, service has been the cornerstone of my life. As a Chief Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force Reserve and a Lieutenant in the Edison Police Department, I've dedicated my career to protecting our nation and ensuring the safety of our community. Today, I'm humbled to announce my candidacy for State Assembly, driven by that same unwavering commitment to serving others.

My journey began with a call to serve our country. I enlisted in the Air Force, rising through the ranks to become a Chief Master Sergeant, a testament to my dedication and leadership. My deployments to Afghanistan, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and Germany, often as a Phoenix Raven Team Leader, instilled in me the importance of courage, decisiveness, and always putting the safety and well-being of others first.

My commitment to service didn't end on the battlefield. As a Lieutenant in the Edison Police Department, I've spent over two decades protecting our streets and serving our community. From responding to emergencies to mentoring young officers, my priority has always been the safety and security of our residents.

But my dedication to service extends beyond my professional duties. As a coach for youth football, baseball, and basketball, I've witnessed firsthand the power of mentorship and teamwork in shaping young minds. And as a member of the American Legion and VFW, I've worked tirelessly to support my fellow veterans, ensuring they receive the respect and resources they deserve.

Now, I'm answering a new call to serve – this time, as your voice in the State Assembly. My experience has equipped me with the skills and perspective needed to tackle the challenges facing our community:

• Public Safety: I'll leverage my law enforcement and military experience to advocate for policies that keep our streets safe, support our first  responders, and ensure a fair and just legal system. This includes fighting for better benefits for our retired police and firefighters, including cost-of-living adjustments (COLA) that recognize their sacrifices and ensure their financial security in retirement.
• Veterans' Rights: As a veteran myself, I understand the sacrifices made by those who serve our country. I will be a staunch advocate for our veterans, fighting to expand access to healthcare, education, and job training. I will also prioritize tax relief measures that ease the financial burden on our veterans and their families, allowing them to      thrive in civilian life.
• Investing in Our Future: I believe in the power of quality education and opportunity for all. I'll prioritize policies that empower our youth and build a brighter future for LD 18.
• Fiscal Responsibility: I understand the importance of responsible government spending. I'll work tirelessly to ensure taxpayer dollars are used efficiently and effectively to address the needs of our community.

This election is about more than just politics – it's about choosing a leader who will be a strong voice for our shared values. I'm not a career politician, but a dedicated public servant with a proven track record of leadership and integrity.

I humbly ask for your support in this election. Together, we can build a brighter future for LD 18.
